Controller (Full Time)
Status: Exempt | Revised: July 2024
Manage all accounting and financial operations, including administration of human resources. Assets and liabilities management, capital and operating budget maintenance and setting up internal controls and writing accounting procedures. Ensuring regulatory compliance with various agencies. Administrative duties for profit sharing plan.
Other Duties / Functions (Not limited to):
Manage accounting department.
Must be willing and able to do clerical work when staff is on vacation.
Review monthly financial statements.
Review monthly jobs in progress report.
Preparation of weekly cash flow worksheet.
Oversee annual financial audit.
Oversee all tax, payroll and insurance audits.
Preparation of annual budget.
Manage cash/investments and outstanding loans.
Administration of 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan.
Administration of health insurance and benefits.
Planning multiple Company events during the year.
Conduct weekly team meetings.
Attend weekly and monthly management meetings
Attend quarterly safety meetings.
Meetings with Board of Directors, bankers, auditors, vendors, insurance agents etc.
Preparation of special projects and reports.
Human Resources issues as needed.

Equipment Use: Computer, 10 Key Calculator, Fax Machine, Copy Machine, Postage Machine, Check Signer, Telephone System.
Mental Demands:
Requires good organizational skills and flexible schedule.
Physical Demands:
Requires sitting at station for long periods, good communication skills with all levels of the workforce, some inter-island travel involved.
Qualification Requirements:
Computer proficient in Excel & Word, 10-key by touch
Accounting Degree and/or construction accounting experience or equivalent desired. CPA license or CCIFP certification desirable.
5 to 10 years construction accounting preferred
